welcome

I firmly believe that there is a deep profoundness in this world that needs to be recognized. There is meaning. There is morality. There is a purpose for all of this. This profound Truth is real, and we all have the capability to grasp it... but we are either to busy, too hazy, or too lazy.

This profoundness is also deep within each one of us, just itching to be noticed. Inside every one of us is the possibility for potential, for destiny, and for ambition. For every one of us there is a plan. This is the profound Truth that lies asleep until it is awakened.

The dilemma? Until we recognize this possibility lying within us, we truly are meaningless. These bodies that house our souls are fading out of existence as quickly as they came into being, and there's not much time to grab hold of what is truly permanent. That would be our soul. We all have one, but we don't all know it. Some know it, but don't understand it. And until we discover the truth of what truly makes us human and turn it over to the one who made us human... there is no point to any of this.

I want to unharness the profoundness that others have discovered. We write songs as a commentary on the human existence. We paint and draw to try to improve the way things are. We read to try to find other options, or to understand more about this impossibility called life. We're creative creatures, all fighting for our own voice to be heard above the din. And that can be a problem.

Matthew 7:15 ~
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing,
but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

The media bombards us with these false prophets and their teachings. One cannot be a firm follower of Christ if they are constantly being swayed by every newfangled teaching. The Truth is unchangeable, even though the times try to rewrite it. Until the earth's final day, it is up to the Body of Christ to stand firm against the voices of the wolves hiding beneath sheep's clothing.

That is the purpose of this collection. Out of all the contrasting voices scrambling for acknowledgment, I have chosen 16 pieces to analyze and compare against the teachings of Christ. Do they stand, or do they fail? The ability to discern and disrobe the wolves that come after the children of God is truly a vital skill.

Because even in the din of billions of voices coming from every direction... God's voice is among them. This is me learning to tune my hearing to respond to the Holy Spirit, and those that point me to Him. This is me honing my senses to be able to distinguish between the sheep and the wolves.

Welcome to The Collection.
